Description
This cinnamon tequila hot chocolate is sure to warm you up from head to toe. Enjoy it on chilly nights, at holiday parties, or anytime you want a grown-up twist on a classic.
Ingredients
6 ounces dark chocolate squares
4 cups whole milk
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
5 tablespoons sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
3 tablespoons tequila
Ground cinnamon, for serving
Instructions
- Add chocolate and a cup of milk to a medium saucepan and place over low heat. Stir gently, allowing the chocolate to melt.
- Add cocoa powder and whisk well to combine.
- Add sugar, cinnamon sticks, and the remaining milk. Allow the mixture to simmer over medium-low heat until very hot and lightly thickened, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and tequila.
- Serve with a dusting of ground cinnamon. Enjoy!
